Awake

poem by: Rhys Thomas
Written on Mar 23, 2021

I don't know if I'm where I think I am
I fell asleep in the shower and I don't recall waking up
I'm in my room, but I can still hear running water
I go to the bathroom to check
But the shower is off and I am alone

Reality is nothing more than a shared fiction
Truth is no more than an accurate lie
I'm losing the plot:
I can't think straight
I just need a hug, and to cry
