We Are Lego
Lego by Lego,
Brick by Brick.
Human beings,
We are like Lego’s.
As we grow,
Assembled are we.
Life, emotions, thoughts, and identity,
How does all this go together?
We can be in pieces,
But
Does this mean we are broken?
No!
Some assembly may be required.
Sometimes, incomplete can be complete.
I do not know who I am,
Sometimes you just have to disassemble and put all the Lego back.
No plan,
No design
Bricks scattered all around,
What do I do?
Without instructions,
I am my own design.
Hardship, Trauma, Grief and Failure,
Bricks come loose and fall away,
Who or what do I become?
Lego by Lego,
Brick by Brick.
I am broken, scattered all around,
A Lego model dropped, kicked and broken,
My mind, my life, broken and scattered,
Watch where you step.
I gather the pieces, those I can find.
I do not look whole,
I do not feel whole,
Time it will take,
Build it right.
Time it will take,
I am my own design.
Perseverance,
A ton of patience,
Never quit,
Achieve your goals.
Always remember,
YOU ARE NOT BROKEN,
YOU WERE NEVER BROKEN.
YOU ARE JUST NOT FINISHED YET!!!
