JUST AMY ALWAYS AMY

Have you seen her today the night was busy I travel far?
I was taken back to the time when our love was young.
And even though she left me standing I was not done.
I walk away to protect her from parents too greedy to see.
Her love was natural sincere and almighty knows I love her.

I came back to fight for my love, but she was gone away.
The days grew dark around me the years made me blue.
As elusive as a snake as graceful as an eagle I was a friend.
Your memory dear Amie remain night after night yes.
But I know that I have been there many times looking for you.

In my waking hours I ponder to what I see I have no answer
I see the things that is allowed only to be lost in my vision.
I walk the beaches in my dreams I see your picture everywhere.
Come back to me oh Amie dear if you but whisper I will hear.
Then maybe my dreams of you will taste the sweeter than bitter.

Who is AMIE?

There was a girl from Ti’ Roche that captured my heart and mind.
I dare not mention her name to you she is not the waiting kind.
But in my heart, I love her so like this old bottle of wine
