UNBROKEN SPIRIT MY SON ADAM

poem by: Kenvil Atkins
Written on Dec 18, 2020

Have you seen our Adam oh Great Spirit of the wind as you blow across the heavens, he was called home not so long ago the master needed laborers for the harvest that is soon to come, he is as gentle as a lamb, oh Great Spirit looks for a sunshine smile a heart of gold a willing soul, a mother’s joy
We thank you great Jehovah your mercy and your gifts, born to us a son like Adam, if the evils that man does lives after them may it not be so with Adam, thirty-five and not too soon he took his place among your saints
His victory is won and upon his grave, we place a stone a symbol of an unbroken circle of love, for one by one he touched our lives and gave his best without request, his gift of love he poured out daily to a loving mom and grateful father, a black-hearted wife that did not care two young daughters oh so dear, the world grieved his passing but joy fill our hearts for pain and suffering lay claims no more as he ascended to his home in heaven
A servant of the Lord forever a champion for justice his worth measured only by his big heart, was there ever a man like him? no not to this day his name will live on in our hearts and his love among the brethren’s, I will sing of your loyalty young Adam and of your love of life I will tell of your bravery your strength and your smile, gone before you know the way look for me when I come to stay
