Oh mother my mother God pour his grace on thee
My love shall never die thou art my shining star
In the past I have no regret what years bring to me
The hour we met that gave me the love for thee
The mist is falling on the twilight of your years
and out of my dreams I arose a happier me
again my heart shall sing that old sweet song
happy eighty birthday mother dear, my love:
Over yonder, the lights are low the shadows flicker
The wind softly comes and goes my heart is not weary
For the bright morning star brings music in the air
Joy fills my heart oh mother a joy I never knew
Mother, you always love me mother I always knew
So, mother, my mother god blessing is on thee
God shine his love upon thee and make you whole
Oh mother my mother god pour his grace on thee
