I want to dedicate my poem to Austin Daniel.
Whilst chatting to the lady in the poem I discovered her name was Wallace, like Biggy and William Wallace.
She in turn found out that my name was Parks, like Rosa. We liked being connected somehow to freedom fighters! "We forward in this generation triumphantly" (Bob Marley) Love always Ann xxxx

Hi Ann. I am your great grandfather from the USA. Glad to see you have my appreciation for poetry writing, a trait that runs in our family. I like your poem and it speaks of caring for others.
Nice work.

hey Daniel, thanks for your encouragement....my great grandfather was a tug boat master on the river thames in London and was killed when a v2 rocket blew the vessel out of the water in world war 2. It was change of watch so both crews were killed. my grandfather was 77 years old and still working.....my dad was 18 and in the navy.
I beleive that one of great grandad,s brothers went to usa....so we may be related....
