Day Dreamer

poem by: Angel S
Written on Jan 01, 2015

It’s just us,
He and I,
Within this perfect world
That’s all a lie.

Distance and time
Do not exist.
We’re finally together
In this sweet bliss.

He was so close,
His words so kind.
A tear falls as he whispers,
“Will you be mine?”

Reality,
How I loathe thee.
Why must you rear your ugly head,
And end this love spree?

I awake unwillingly.
The words he never said,
Forever echo
Inside my head.
