Scars

poem by: E.J. Waling
Written on Mar 03, 2020

As life
moves along,
choices
are made.
Choices
that alter
trajectory.
Decisions
that alter
life’s flow,
subtly or
greatly.
Choices
can leave
scars,
scars
on the soul.
Scars that
alter perception.
Scars that
alter beliefs.
Looking back,
I wonder who’d
I be had
I chosen,
differently?
