Crossing Your Path

As I was going down, I met someone else coming up,
they asked what it was like where I'd come from,
I said it was fine but you will be assessed so long,
for all those things you know that you did wrong.

Then you will be placed in the appropriate slot,
that good old learning curve that you forgot;
my 'downward' friend asked: 'What are You going to do?'
I said: 'I've been instructed to remove Extinction Rebellion.'

'The Earth must allow it's inhabitants to be destroyed.'
'Ah, another Ark,' my downward friend said,
'Exactly,' I said, 'To remove all the moaners and groaners,
and next time there will be more control on everything.

We parted company, friend going ro a slot and me to the rot,
and as I approached the Earth, it was feeling rather hot.
