In the Night

poem by: Nemo Nemees

I stare into the raging sky,
As the stars all flicker and shine.
The cool wind is howling softly,
As the night breeze gently rolls by.
Colors of the night are endless,
And oh so empty all the same.
The night creatures are relentless,
While they’re chirping their songs away.
The clouds are only visible,
When the stars seem to slightly dim.
The Man of the moon he smiles,
Down to all the wandering men.
Wishing them all a good journey
As they find a soft spot to rest.
I hope that one day I'm sleeping,
He will wake me up from my dreams,
To tell me the night is calling,
And that it's time for me to leave.

In The Night is an interesting poem Looking up at the nightly skies can be a poignant moment. Did you know it’s hard to see stars in the city from within the tall buildings. They block out the light with their heights. Thanks for sharing, keep on writing too. Have a nice day.h
