Sand storm

poem by: Andrew Shepherd
Written on Feb 14, 2019

Golden sprays of mineral ore
Creates a haze of nature so pure
Ripples appear in the heated sand
Dark and long like the Devils hand
Clouds fly upwards to the sky
While vultures circle for souls that die
Nothing but dunes lead the way
As mirages of water come into play
A wonderous sight
Under an orange light
In the land of burning things start to appear
Trapped forever by the sand storm here
