Irony

poem by: Chel Scott
Written on Aug 22, 2018

I just want to be left all alone,
but want someone to be alone with,
I want to fall deeply in love,
yet avoid it, because love is a myth.

I only know of true happiness,
because I've been so very sad,
I've learned how to be decent and good,
because I once was so corrupt and bad.

It takes noise to appreciate silence,
you have to know ugly to adore the red rose,
absence helps you appreciate presence,
and you have to know joy to realise the woes.

It's true that you have to have certain things to appreciate others. Like you have to have hard work to appreciate success. Good job with this
