To Be With You

poem by: Chel Scott
Written on Aug 16, 2018

A walk in the moonlight,
making love on the shore,
dancing to our heartbeats,
it's you that I adore.

Just to be near you,
to feel your naked skin,
I need you beside me,
to hold you deep within.

Like a flicker from a candle,
a new born baby's cry,
you fill me with wonder,
and I'm too scared to ask why.

Like a child at Christmas,
is how you make me feel,
you have sparked something inside,
something I just can't conceal.

To snuggle up at bedtime,
and hear your voice all night,
just to feel you kiss my lips,
you fill me with delight.
