Ice

poem by: Chel Scott
Written on Aug 16, 2018

I have seen many a splendid thing,
trinkets and treasures so nice,
but never a substance so mystifying,
this miracle of nature, ice.

I see things of silver and gold,
but they come at such a price,
in my mind, there is nothing as priceless,
as a reflection in a cluster of ice.

I adore the way it sparkles,
with one glance it will entice,
it is such a mystery,
yet, simplicity itself is ice.
