Voices

poem by: Chel Scott
Written on Aug 16, 2018

It wasn't me,
it was them,
screaming, howling,
it's happened again.
Blood smeared walls,
poisonous lips,
sweat soaked bodies,
and swaying hips.
Lustful thoughts,
heaving chests,
voices heard,
a sense of unrest.
It wasn't me,
it was them,
screaming, howling,
it's happened again.
The copper smell,
a surge of violence,
heartbeats race,
an air of silence,
mind explodes,
another life given,
until the next time,
they are unforgiving.
It wasn't me,
it was them,
screaming, howling,
it's happened again.
