Kiss Of Darkness

poem by: Chel Scott
Written on Aug 16, 2018

Lost in the moonlight, searching,
I feel the icy touch of his skin,
fear fades as the dark night deepens,
a silent calm spreads within.

Sorrow and sadness seep away,
out into the darkness, far beyond,
his cold touch reminds me, I am his,
to this cold heart, I now belong.

Without a word, he knows I am ready,
I won't cry. I won't feel. I won't suffer,
I have lived my last days in this hell,
"take this life, curse me with another".
