Bloodstained Lace

poem by: Chel Scott

She hears her hoarsely whispered name,
echo around the empty room,
he lays there, barely breathing,
the darkness will take him soon.

The bloodsoaked blade falls to the floor,
as she crumbles to her knees,
her heart is heavy, a sigh escapes,
as she relives his desperate pleas.

Bloodstained lace and poisonous lips,
She is death wrapped in beauty,
his last breath and soul escape,
he has served his last duty.
