Destiny

poem by: Chel Scott
Written on Aug 12, 2018

It was as if a star
fell from the sky,
and landed in my hand.
It whispered to me
what I'd yearned to hear,
and helped me understand.
I breathed a sigh
and looked around,
everything suddenly clear.
My reason for being
why I am me,
why fate had placed me here.
My star shone bright
then flew away,
left imprints on my palms.
Now I see my star
deep in your eyes,
as you hold me in your arms.
