BREXIT TEARS

poem by: Marc Hawkins

(This is written about a certain demographic of Brexit voters...the ones who based their voting decisions on racism, false patriotism and disjointed national pride)

Bloody bolshy Belgians, boshing their boots
all over our bleeding bank accounts,
banning us from bent banana’s,
breaking our barriers with their
bourgeois bangings about big business.
Blighting Britain with burka wearing birds
and backpacks bulging with suicide bombs.
And believe me, you don’t wanna back me into
bawling about the bloody blacks!
This is bloody Britain, not broken but bent,
and when I say bent I’m not talking ‘bout bum bandits,
lets’ be bleeding bang on 'bout that!
Britain belongs to bloody us, the Blighty boys and biatches,
not a barracking bunch of bums on benches,
eurocratic bastards hell bent on brandishing
bullshit deals.
Brexit, Brexit all the way,
we’re with Boris and that bint May.
Beautiful, beautiful barricaded Britain
I’m British, I'm bulldog and I was born this way.

Errr, Hang on!
Terry’s on the telly and she’s trembling
like a tiny terrier with ticks,
all turtle neck and tongue tied,
timid, almost terrified…talking taciturn rhetoric
that’s totally taken a turn, taking back the token troths
that took us to the voting polls.
Terry, what you doing man? Does it mean our territory’s
still up for the grabs? Are those tykes still trying to
tear us down, testing their tenets in our cities and towns?
I’m tearful Terry to tell the truth I was thinking your tales
just might come true.
Took me for a twatting twonk you have,
might as well put me back on a tag.
A total tit you’ve made me feel with your tactic-less,
tossing brexit deal
“It’s taking more time than I thought to thrash it out”
“It’s going to be tougher than I first made out”
I’ll tell you terry I’m tired and torn
cos this triumphant land in which I was born
is tearing and tumbling under Theresa May,
you’ve tinkled and trickled all over my day.
I’ll text it and text it to all my team
that Terry the Terrible is trashing our dreams.
But we’ll take back our kingdom and we’ll do it our way
cos we’re tossers, we’re tool heads, we were born this way.
