You Propel Me

poem by: James Farley
Written on Mar 24, 2018

Onward, yes upward, I’m propelled by you,
How oft I get stuck in myself and cry,
But you are my lighthouse to keep in view,
My turbojet to thrust me to the sky.

Forward thoughts plus mindfulness you remind,
Comforting hugs and kisses you provide,
Inspiration in you I always find,
All of my heart and mind I do confide.

Sweet turbojet, please keep patience with me,
Your true wisdom, talent, beauty are clear,
Every day I drop weights, you surely see,
We will fly higher each new voyage, Dear.

Let’s fill your fuel on the launchpad tonight,
Fly high to places that bring you delight.
