He Made a Garden

poem by: John Pegg
Written on Mar 08, 2018

'John gone! What did he do? Was not his life a waste?'
Then quickly intervene, say 'Survey the scene,
Look out there, that ground once bare,
He with patience, time, loving care
Made a beautiful view; Flowers flourish of every hue.
From seeds and shoots these trees he grew.
So just remember well, let me tell though I beg your pardon.
That it was God himself, before he Adam made,
First planted, for was not Eden such a Garden?'
