How many more...

poem by: Ms. Micki

How many more children, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, neighbors and family must we bury?
How many more vigils must we hold?
How many more news stories of mass shootings?
How many more broken communities?
How many more...
How many more active shooter drills at school?
How many more buried heroes, first hand accounts of terror inflicted by a sic person with an assault weapon nationalized?
How many more flags lowered to half staff?
How many more?
How many more?
How many more tv hosts passionate pleas for gun control law?
How many more?
How many more gun control debates?
How many more?
How many more is enough?
Enough to change laws and keep guns away from those who will terrorize and kill others?
Enough to stop asking
How many more?
Enough to prevent, save and protect the lives of many more..
My heart breaks...
How many more?
