THE INVISIBLE MAN

poem by: Fadrian Bartley
Written on Jan 24, 2018

A prison of mine
Bound in my own world
Shackles of solitude
Crowned my wounded feet

Behind the thick wall of my bound
The shadow of my cries
Fed my own soul
To evoke insanity

Cheek bones hangs
Proportionately,
When laughter seclude
For seldom reasons

I go no further than
My own prison door
As nothing outside
Was there for me

Barefooted on the cold ground
Of my mind
Covered with tears pouring from
My afflicted soul

Being alone in this
Sea of monotonous journey
I kept floating
Without a hand to pull me up
