Springtime Avenue

poem by: Christopher Russon
Written on May 07, 2017

The nightime stars
Seem so far away
Then it doesn't really matter
On this calm and pleasant day.

Walking through the avenue
Where springtime flowers bloom
We see the cherry blossom trees
With summer coming soon.

The leaves return with birds in flight
Singing a chorus for the world to hear
Bringing along the joy of life
A delightfull day with sky's so clear.

Springtime brings out smiling faces
And takes away a saddened frown
Cherry blossom like a carpet Lies
There on mother natures ground.
