Am I

I am black against the barking of a dog I am gnashing on dead men's bones, I am hanging loose loud and stupid running rampant with fury lost I am scared silly laughing smiles unseen laughter heard only in the rain I am a Christian dying for eternity.I am blind twice and once on a Thursday at 21:27pm and when I'm done writing I am black again,I am hunger desperate for rotting food thirsty for beer week on one knee pointing a pistol at the sky I am mentally disturbed in class reading upside down,I am a son crying a brother trying a separated husband hiding a father buying loaves of bread at a supermarket,I am a believer in God cause I was taught I believe in God now cause I am distorted I am far away from you cause I know you I am close because you are here and I am not.I write to repeat myself cause talking says nothing about what was written and comers and fill stops only disrupt conversation,I am ugly when the moon is high and all I see are bats I am handsome in church,I am bold when weak I am strong cause I say so I am where you are not and you are not.I am a boxer when I am cold I am a runner to the smoke in the hills I am an angel holding a knife and gun in a poster I am the alpha and omega stolen from revelations borrowed then erased,I am tired and sinful trapped in freedom and angry in prose and rhyme,I am forgotten love but never found remembered good time passing I am crazy silent always writing black and colorless always fading I am you and you are me.
