Never Ending Nights

poem by: Theresa Taylor
Written on Aug 15, 2016

The day's age on
I can get through the sun
But here in the dark
That's when it all starts
No beautiful reason to bite my lip
No puzzle piece match to the curve of my hips
Longing to nuzzle under a scruffy chin
To slowly ignite each other in sin
Alas these four walls and lonely bed
And let's not forget those endless thoughts in my head
Are my only company again and again
Because this empty night never seems to end
