You've Got Red on You

poem by: Char Eel Ham

You've got red on you,
and I don't think I have ever seen somebody wear the colour with such feeling.
Smiling summer person.
Sun touched cheeks and brown shoulders.
The skin on your nose is peeling.
I like how your jeans hang from your body and your hair is messed up.
Silly hair,
you don't care.
Keep grinning,
Your voice brings me joy and I could sit with you all day and night,
tell me a story right from the beginning.
I can't stop looking,
My cheeks flush.
You put red on me.
