The Liars Death

poem by: Theresa Taylor
Written on Aug 07, 2016

I feel the death of you on the inside
Buried up to the neck and hardly alive
Choking is no substitute for breathing
Ashes of every truth around you swirling
It's so beautifully pitiful to watch you
Oh young fool-hearted man, I know what is really true
You have no idea that I've striped you down naked, but not out for lust
Exposed you down to the bones of what has always been obvious
Opportunist at your best and lover at your worst
Don't expect me to be your personal Jesus, there's no saving you from your devil tongue's curse
You're chiseling a fragile fault line, you suicidal imbecile
Deceivers like you enjoy the seven horrific layers of hell
