Hot and Cold

poem by: Theresa Taylor
Written on Jul 31, 2016

I'm ok
I don't need you anyway
I know you knew
I'd play cards with the devil to save you
I did everything to show
that I was more than loyal
I know it scares you that I'm an extrovert
But you are a jerk
All your texts tell me is that you're busy
Well, hun, I'm not that easy
I think I love you, but whatever the case
My youthful heart will no longer chase
You can be the one to try harder
I will not come any farther
