A better Destiny

poem by: Gerry Legister

Remember how it felt?
The bruise pain woven in your spirit
When your heart was broken in two,
You wanted someone just to love you,
And faithfully stay true to the end,
Until all the shekels were mend.
But they too, came along and pretended
To be friends when emotions descended.
Causing agony to roam the past,
Invoke colossal memories far and vast.
Now your hopes are all looking at you
Absolutions through the smear glass.
Knowing you have a better destiny,
More glorious than mortal misery.
