I'm gettin' off on this highway...
I take my exit, my way...
-Then, a sign made me stop
And, there just had to be a cop
Then, he got up and said:
"Where do you get off!?"
-I said: "Here...but, I'm all done..."
"So, take your hand off the gun"
He said: "It looks like
You had fun with the three-one-one"
-Indecent exposure, so
"Hands over your shoulders!"
Then, I said to the cop:
"Where do you get off!?"
-He said: "In the bed..."
"At home, all alone, and when the lights are off..."
Then, I said: "I've heard enough"
And, sure enough, I heard a cuff
This cop started to get rough, and said:
"You're gettin' off this highway..."
"I take you in...my way..."
"So, hop in the back
Of this white Cadillac..."
-"Mind your head, now..."
We rode on for awhile
And, then I thought I seen him smile...
I said: "You musta missed my exit
By at least a quarter mile!"
Then, he sped through a sign
Red sign said: 'STOP'
The cop said: "This isn't where you get off!"
-"Does a cell ring a bell?"
I then decide...to ditch this ride...
I hitched, and I hiked...till the cuffs weren't as tight
He bent to take a right, turned around, I'm outta sight...
Now, I'm busy hidin' out...
Under bridges, when I dare...
Where do I get off!?
-Pretty much anywhere...
