Please Don't Turn Me Away

poem by: Roxanne Dubarry
Written on Jun 22, 2026

Lord, please listen to what
I have to say. Oh my dear
Lord, hear my prayers as
I pray.

I really need you now
and I am asking you not to
turn me away.

Please remember even when I
fail you. Help me to do all of
the things that I am suppose
to do.

In times of trouble and despair
please see me through.

Trials and temptations always
seem to come; please see me
through them God's only Son.

Without your love I would not
be able to cope and without
your grace I would have no
hope.

***This poem was written for my now
deceased sister, Lynn Ellen Dubarry.
She had much more of her share
of both trials and tribulations.
