I Choose My Dog

I choose my Dog,
That you call ‘evil dog’,
Like instead of princes,
I pick the frog.
I trust her instinct,
I trust her bark,
I know she’s got us when it’s dark.
It makes me sad,
That you will never see,
How she protects your granddaughter
When seizing.
It makes me weep,
That you’ll never know,
Just how far my dog will go,
To lift our spirits,
When we’re low.
I choose my Dog.
