Apples of Gold

Part one...Apples of Gold; wisdom untold. A present to me from Jean
Carey; a poetic friend of mine. I haven't heard from for sometime
Beautiful words, like apple blossoms bloom. A French perfume
sayings "gleamed" from far and wide all o'er the country side.
My beloved English tutor tried and true. Oh, how much I really
miss you!

Part two... My Former Poetic Best friend

Once upon a time, and very long ago, I searched for a
wide river's road around the bend, only to run into a
dead end. Oh, but I can remember when, you used
to call me your very best friend. Our world's were
as different as could be. The only real tie between
us was our love of poetry.

denomination due to personal and
health issues.

I have finally learned my lessons,

After a few more failed encounters with
Some past friends of mine,
I quickly discovered not to waste any more
Valuable time.

Trying to renew old acquaintances cause I
Have had some problems with new ones.
There is nothing new under the sun.
Which is why I have chosen to keep

Mainly to my self, with a few exceptions.
Things usually do work out to be that
Much better that a'way.
Now if I would only remember to take

Some more time each day to watch and
Wait and pray for our Lord Jesus Christ
To come back down and take all of His
Special children to heaven soon one day.

Love as always,

Wishful thinking

poem by Roxanne Dubarry

Why waste the time of day in wishful thinking? Why spin cobwebs in the air? Why wish upon a star, when no one hears? Many years I have spent in wishful thinking. Day dreaming most of my life away. Wasting away the years, Ign... Read more

Jesus Christ is my major source of inspiration, it is quite obvious to me. Without his help, I would possess no talent for composing any of my inspirational Christian poetry. He provides the words to say. He lightens my heavy ... Read more
