I wish I could believe you
It's not that I think you're lying
I believe that you believe
You're telling me the truth

I wish I could believe you
But I've seen how this plays out
So many times before
I've seen how this goes

It'll be OK... eventually
Eventually... when is that?
You might as well say never
At least then, I might believe you
