Street people

He’s alive man He’s flying
The drugs and the drink have him on the brink
But inside I think he’s dying

She’s having fun She’s trying
The sleeping around has got her down
And she’s had enough of the lying

So what is inside your heads
Are you hating how you play
Can you see yourself with a decent future
When you carry on in this dangerous way

They hurt many They kill a few
A sharp blade in their hand for the sake of a grand
It’s sad what they’re willing to do

She smiles away She reads her text
An innocent girl who witness a crime
Well you know what happens next

So what is inside your heads
Are you hating how you play
Can you see yourself with a decent future
When you carry on in this dangerous way

Take a step back for a second
Look into your troubled soul
There’s ways and means
Of sorting it all out
Away from the black hole
