Ko wai ra Who

Ko wai ra hei awhina ki a matou nei (who helped us)
I runga i te huarahi a o tatou Tipuna (on the path of our ancestors)
Kei a matou te raruraru (through worries) kei a matou pouritanga (through sadness)
kei a koe to matou aroha ake ake (we have so much love for you)
Kei te pouri te ngakau ki te mohio kei te haere koe (We are very sad to know you are leaving)
Engari kia maia (but be brave) kia manawanui (be steadfast) me to whanau hou (with your new family)
Hokimai ki konei akuanei. (Return to us soon)

Note:
Waiata (Maori song) written in my last year at college. Inspired by a very special teacher that was leaving to start a new role.

In the tune of 'Shy Guy'
