Gibraltar

poem by: R.T. Aquinas
Written on Jul 19, 2018

On Day Four, we went to The Rock
The ship came in at 12 O'Clock
We looked down and at the sea.
It was a beautiful aquamarine.
From Gibraltar was quite a picturesque scene:
We could see Spain
And the Straight of Gibraltar was only eight miles wide
With the Moroccan Mountains on the other side
Behind whom the rest of Africa does hide.
A visit to a Pillar of Hercules
A glorious day with just a soft breeze.
