My Best Friend

poem by: Michael Haile
Written on Oct 20, 2014

Screaming out her pain
Laughing in her heart
Out of the darkness
Into the light
My first sight
Looking around
Smiling faces, looking down
A sweet embrace
A beautiful face
My hands and fingers, holding tight
Trembling so cold I am
Our hearts beat as one
Smiles we share
Oh, how we stare
For on this day, we finally meet
April First, Two Thousand and Fourteen
My best friend
My Mommy
