Psychotic Demise

poem by:
Written on Sep 23, 2016

Evil in nature, yet cordial to all,
Rising in stature, refusing to fall.
Charming and nice, what a big smile,
Addicted to vice, hoping to defile.
Searching for an end, hoping to die,
Not much of a friend, not a good guy.
Ramblings rehearsed, trying to fit in,
Some say he was cursed, and had no kin.
Individual to the core, trying to subdue,
The temptation to adore, following a queue.
Sticking pins in dolls, hoping to share his curse,
Searching for victims in malls, each day getting worse.
His body was found later that week, an end to his ugly life,
No more victims would he seek, the target of his own knife.

Hmmm, as some of your previous pieces, your word use and imagery are good, but the rhythm lets you down. Poetry is/should be music in words.

I love this 😊 Right up my street and love the wording but like Ephraim says the rhythm is the only thing that lets it down 😊😊
