A Voice of Angels

poem by: Matt Erxleben
Written on Mar 15, 2012

A voice of a thousand angles does sing
Whenever a word passes from your lips
And lifted upon the sound's golden wings
Through melancholy sorrow my heart dips.

For a lover had I, long long before
A beauty of such it drives one insane
And on her heavenly voice I did soar
But the memories are all that remain.

So for now allow the angels to sing
For the wonderment surpasses my pain
The spell of your words has become my king
Until the day I have my love again.

A pretty voice an attraction might start
But the real hold is one on my heart.

I like your rhyming scheme on this one. Your adjectives are good too. The general mood is melancholic...but in a romantic way. I dig!
