Father like son.

poem by: Christopher Russon
Written on Jul 07, 2016

When you died
You left yourself behind
And I should know
I see you all the time.
I see you in the mirror
I see you in my mind.
Other people see you too
They have seen you in the tavern
Knocking back a few.
They have seen you when your driving
As clear as clear can be.
They have seen you in the shopping isle
Holding up the Queue.
So when you died You left yourself behind
We should know
It is clear for all to see.
Because when you died
You left yourself in me.

I had not read this one and man did you hit the nail on the head. My father is 87 years old and still kicking. Everyone that knows us will say that I am him all over again, in looks and mannerism. Fantastic poem.
