Time Apart

poem by: Andy Wilden
Written on Dec 17, 2014

Time cannot change the love in my heart,
Nor has the distance been tainted, since we've been apart.
All the troubles we've seen, God has lead us the way,
guiding us through each and every beautiful day.

Together we have struggled and beseeched our mighty Lord,
and His patience and love upon us He's poured.
Things might seem different, but love always remained,
the struggle through the night, our hearts it has pained.

In my hear, I know this to be true,
there is no woman I need, only you.
Together we are, the battles only begun,
but in the Lord's own words in Him we have won.

Hold onto what we have and together we will see,
what the lord has planned together, you and me.
I love you for always, I love you my dear,
I promise you forever, don't worry or fear.

I've made my mistakes, my love is real,
I know in my heart, our love is a seal.
You complete my life, my puzzle now solved,
Together, forever, in love involved.

To wake without you, my heart cannot bear,
to hold you in my arms, to stroke your soft hair.
To look deep in your eyes and say it's you I adore,
To spend the rest of my days with you, and more.

Tears cascading, trembling, streaking my face,
what's happened in the past time cannot erase.
But I have learnt the riddle of my heart,
I never want us away, or drift apart.

Time does move forward, and the seasons they change,
there is a constant, one universal truth remains.
So dearly do I adore you and this is so true,
My promise eternally, I'll always love you.
