Tides Of Love

poem by: Andy Wilden
Written on Dec 17, 2014

Life so short and bitter-sweet,
Day in, day out seeking an end.
Looking for love in all the wrong places,
A love that endures, a close and thoughtful friend.

Romance it seems to shift and sway,
Like an ocean tide or season change.
Looking for love's warm embrace,
Only in books, does such love remain.

Oh, come to me sweet, withered flower,
And let take your cares and hopes upon me.
I'll Shield your fears and water your dreams,
And show the world how beautiful you are indeed.

Sunset fire ignites your beauty all around me,
Your love in me, welcomed like rain to this burnt earth,
Come to me my lover and let us bind together as one,
And hold each other till a new days birth.
