Keep Your Head Up Kid

Under impression this life is so easy.
Everything going great till it all turned sleazy.
Time to grow up and stand on my own two feet.
Living each day just wanting to put myself in the sheets.

You find out quickly how life can change.
It can tear you apart emotionally if you don't have your life rearranged.
Tragedies can make you strong or make you weak.
You determine the factor of the outcome,
Will you rise up and stand on your own two feet?

Don't look down and don't look back.
If it happened, it was for a reason and you should leave it at that.
Move forward through each day, do you what you have to do.
In the end you never really know what will benefit you.

I didn't think such a thing could ever happen to me.
18, fresh out of high school, young and free.
One day my life changed, maybe it was for the best.
I learned to stand on my own two feet earlier than the rest.
I've fought with hate and misunderstanding.
Not knowing why this had to happen to me,
I was just still a boy, I wasn't ready for all that responsibility.

I stand today, feet on the ground, not budging and inch.
Ya see, what happened to me was a small incident.
I learned to be a man and take action.
Besides, what is life, when there is no satisfaction.
Stand tall and be firm, don't you flinch.
Once the tragedy happens, it will tear you down inch by inch.

Great. It is something everyone or most people can relate to.

I like when you say rise up.It takes strength of character to overcome adversity. That character is defined on how you behave in good times and bad. Well said
