When the night sky fell 
and the dreams come tell,
You were there,

When the troubles grew 
and the fears came true,
You were there,

When the demons scare,
thoughts come like snares,
You were there,

When the tears ran down
and emotions drown,
You were there,

When the closest leave
and the heart just grieves,
You were there,

But when you needed me,
When you wanted me,
I just wasn't there,

Rings true for many, but you see, maybe they are strong enough to not need you. maybe that's why you had to show them ;)

.....this lovely poem makes me feel your regret...........I just wasn't there when my poor mum passed away......(I'd gone back home, with the intention of calling back next morning......she passed away in the night......I just wasn't there.....
