Numb

poem by: John Salvetti

How can one be numb but feel pain at the same time?
How can you say you're ok, yet you're not fine?
How can what I'm feeling make no sense, yet it all rhymes?
They say the world is yours for the taking, but it's not mine.
Working the day to 5 from 9, hours spent from borrowed time.
If you have something to say, some other way - please chime.
