The system

Drowning our imagination, Opression
Taking out all feeling 
till there is no meaning
Making us a null void 
with a lack of expression 
A recipe comprised of insecurities and depression 
Don’t forget to add the stress in
Muzzling our voice, suppression 
Making us scared to question
But here is the real confession 
They’re stopping our progression
Cutting off our self-expression 
A stroke of color in this white and black world is now a transgression 
So as a society we all need to say a blessing
Because these old ways of teaching need reassessing
