Peace on Earth

With conflict and strife in distant lands
Spreading terror upon urban streets
Are they just fighting over desert sand?
As across the ocean flee the refugees

Puppet masters keep pulling the strings
And the politicians dance to the tune
They treat us like disposable nothings
Over which there is little we can do

Take a good look at our wonderful world
You will find that truth is not all it seems
See the deceitful web that’s been curled
Observe the hidden agenda and schemes
-
Today I wonder what a human life is worth
As those people suffer and children scream
It appears to me that “Peace on earth”
Has now become “The impossible dream”
