Allegory Of The Cave

I see only the depiction of a chosen shadow.
Only on walls of caves do they glow.
They're a sight seen by prisoner's of ego.
Chained in place, what is real I will never know.
The light burns the image that I perceive.
The darkness is the only light that I can believe.
What I see is what I most desire.
But the puppeteers possess and control the fire.
It is the libido of reality.
Like the prisoners in the cave I am restrained in my mind.
seperated from what I lust, my nerves peel from the rind.
Inside out I portray the life of death.
I only utter what I see with my final breath.
